Operations Research Analyst (029-24)
We seek an Operations Research Analyst who is immediately available and will thrive in a challenging, rewarding, process-oriented environment.
As a contributor to efforts of the Marine Corps Warfighting Lab in the Experiments Division, you will be asked to provide Scientific and Technical Deliverables by performing Research, Development, Tests, and Evaluation to identify future challenges and opportunities, develop warfighting concepts and comprehensively explore options to inform the combat development process and meet the challenges of future operating environments. These efforts will enhance the ability of the Marine Corps Warfighting Lab Experiments Division to plan, support, integrate, execute, and report live force experiments.
Location:
· This position is located onsite in Quantico, VA
Responsibilities:
· Formulates/defines research and development scope and objectives for assigned projects.
· Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering the Defense system's capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results.
· Produce periodic progress reports.
· Prepare detailed specifications for which research programs will be written.
· Responsible for program design, testing, and documentation.
· Has full technical knowledge of all phases of research application analysis and programming.
· Has a good understanding of research analysis techniques and the ability to apply them.
Required Qualifications:
· A MINIMUM of five years scientific research, documentation and analysis paid experience
Security Clearance:
· US Citizenship required
· Clearance: TS/SCI required at start
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor of Science Degree in Education, Sciences, analytics
· 5-12 years of experience in a scientific research related tole; relies on this experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Master’s degree in Education, Sciences, business
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot systems problems
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
